He was a descendent of a noble family of Giussano (MI, Italy), lived in the XIX centyry and is known for his works in physics (mechanics), especially for the Piola-Kirkhoff stress tensor

His grave is in the main entrance of the graveyard in Gussano (MI, Italy); his last descendent is Giovanni Della Noce, still living in Giussano.
